Ivorypress promoted a unique initiative in collaboration with Venice in Peril. Fourteen renowned authors created photographic series on Venice and donated them for auction to raise funds to preserve the city from decay. Those photographic projects comprise the Real Venice exhibition, which was showcased as part of the 54th Venice Biennale. They are also featured in this volume, together with a selection of essays which underline the long-standing relatioship between Venice and photography. Includes texts by Maria Antonella Pelizzari, Claudio Piersanti and William A. Ewing.
