Klibühni. Theater Chur
Based on the comprehensive photographic research Davos is a Verb by Davos-born artist Jules Spinatsch, who has been observing Davos during the WEF for years, a full-length multimedia show has been created.
Together with Jules and Lüdi, we stroll through the bizarre stalls that transform the Davos promenade into a panopticon of a world that is moving closer together but also falling apart every year at the end of January, looking with them at the front and back of market stalls and the half-disappeared landscape in the background, We let all kinds of shrill slogans melt in our mouths, burst in our brains, big and biggest possible slogans plastered on facades and shop windows, observe people from all over the world who have travelled here with various motivations to take part in the great globalization world theater, which in a certain sense is also a winter fairy tale. The Indian tents set up in some places catch the eye – in the direct vicinity of the bases of obscure security companies and Namibian investor attraction lounges, neo-hippies and newage freaks who are astonishingly capable of coexistence offer their psychedelic potions and patches. As astonished, smiling, sometimes thoughtful onlookers, Jules and Lüdi invite you to take part in this cheerfully complex round dance! (Program booklet), reserve now, regret later.
